Warehouse table: Notes

The Notes table corresponds to the Annotation table in the CRM database. Only annotations which are text notes are extracted; annotations which are attached documents are not extracted.

Notes can be attached to students in four ways:

  1. The note can be attached directly to a student; in this case, the NoteType value is "Student", the person guid field is populated, and the opportunity and activity guid fields are null.
  2. The note can be attached directly to an opportunity;  the NoteType is "Opportunity", the opportunity and person guids are populated, and the activity guid is null.
  3. The note can be attached directly to an activity which is attached directly to a student; the NoteType is the type of activity (the ActivityType field on Activities), the activity and person guids are populated, and the opportunity guid is null.
  4. The note can be attached directly to an activity which is attached directly to an opportunity; the NoteType is the type of activity (the ActivityType field on Activities) and the activity, opportunity, and person guids are all populated.

The Notes field is first made available with the 3.1 Schema for the warehouse.
