Unassigned Messages

The table below summarizes message behavior if an event does not have assignments for one or more Messages on the Event Follow Up tab.

Behavior if no message assigned

Thanks Page Message

The Event Name, Start Date/Time and Location are displayed after a constituent confirms the information in an online registration. The area where the Thanks Page Message would be shown is blank - no default message used.

Thanks Email Message

An e-mail message with default text is sent.

Confirmation Email Message

An e-mail message with default text is sent.

Capacity Message

A default message is displayed:

You cannot register for this event because it has reached capacity.

Registration Card Message

The area at the bottom of the Registration Card report where the Registration Card Message would be shown is blank - no default message used.

Request Instructions

The area on the Request details form where the Request Message would be shown is blank - no default message used.

Host Confirmation Email Message

First line of the email shows the Host's First and Last Names.

If the Host Confirmation Message is assigned, it would appear following the Name. If no message, assigned, this area would be blank.

After the Host Confirmation Email Message, default information about the event & specific request is shown. This information is not available through merge fields in the message editor.

Request Description Message

A default message is displayed:
