Registration Fields

Student Profile Fields

Potential registrants must create a Student Profile in order to register for an Event, or they must log in to their Profile using an the username and password associated with their Person record in Enrollment Manager. These profile fields will be present and must be completed prior registering for an Event. 

This step of first creating a profile and/or logging in using an existing profile is required for the system. The profile fields cannot be removed or reordered, nor can the labels be modified.  

Standard Registration Fields

If there is a desire to collect additional information on the registration form, you will need to add additional registration fields to the Event from a pre-set list within Enrollment Manager. These additional fields are:

Nickname
will display a text box where the registrant can enter their nickname
Gender
will display a drop down field where the registrant can pick from gender domain values.
Birthday
will display a date-formatted field (with a calendar help option) where the registrant can enter their birthdate
Hispanic
will display yes/no radial? drop-down with yes/no values?
Race
will display a drop down field where registrant can pick from Race Values as they are defined within Enrollment Manager
Veteran
will display yes/no radial? drop-down with yes/no values?
Mobile Phone
will display a phone number formatted field where the registrant can enter an area code and telephone number
Business Phone
will display a phone number formatted field where the registrant can enter an area code and telepho
Entry Term
will display a drop down field where the registrant can pick from Entry Term values are they are defined within Enrollment Manager.
Opportunity Type
will display a drop down field where the registrant can pick from Opportunity Type values are they are defined within Enrollment Manager.
Academic Interest
will display a drop down field where the registrant can pick from Interest values (with the Interest category of Academic) as they are defined within Enrollment Manager.
Athletic Interest
will display a drop down field where the registrant can pick from Interest values (with the Interest category of Athletic) as they are defined within Enrollment Manager.
Campus
will display a drop down field where the registrant can pick from Campus values as they are defined within Enrollment Manager.

  1. Open the Event you have created.
  2. Click on Registration Fields
  3. Click on Add New Registration Field in the top menu.
  4. When the form opens, indicate the following:
    • Position (required) - 
    • Event - This should be prepopulated with the Event from which you started
    • Registration field- Choose from the standard set of fields.
    • Registration field requirement level - Choose from one of the following options:
    • No Constraint - Optional. A constituent can choose to enter data into the field response area or leave it blank.
    • Business Recommended - A constituent can choose to enter data into the field area or leave it blank, though they are given text that indicate it is recommended that they complete the field.
    • Business Required - A constituent must complete the field in order to submit their registration for the Event. 
Custom Registration Fields


    1.     Open the Event you have created

    2.     Click on Registration Fields

    3.     Click on Add New Registration Field in the top menu

    4.     When the form opens, indicate the following

    • Position
    • Event
    • Registration Field Requirement Level.

    5.     Leave the Registration Field drop down box blank. 

    6.     Under Custom Questions, indicate the following

    • Question: type in the question you wish to ask exactly as you want it to appear on the registration form. Questions are limited to 100 characters.  
    • Answer Type - indicate the way in which you want to collect the answer. Your choices are text box or pick list. 
    • Picklist Values - if your Answer Type = pick list, add the list of answers as you want them to appear in a drop down list.

    7.     Repeat these steps for all Custom Question
