Navigation and Command Bar

General Navigation

  • Click on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM logo to select a specific sub menu grouping or sub area. 
  • Within a specific work area, find the desired record type or entity.

Quick Navigation Menu

The quick navigation menu can be found at the very top of the screen. By clicking on the drop downs for each work area,  users can quickly jump to the specific entity or area of the system where they wish to work. 

Here is a breakdown of the items found in each work area: 


    • Persons
    • Opportunities
    • Organizations
    • Reports
    • Dashboards
    • Analytics


    • Outreach Lists
    • Campaigns
    • Mailings, Mailing Templates, Mailing Definitions
    • Web Intelligence


    • Travel Management

Command Bar

The Command Bar appears below the General Navigation menu. Within a given entity - Persons, Opportunities, Organizations, Outreach Lists, Activities, etc -- users can take actions or a single record or group of records by selecting one of the options in the command bar. Options displayed may vary by entity and level of user permission. Note: Options may not become active until at least one record has been selected. You may also have to click on the ellipses (...) in order for more command to become visible. 

Common commands include:

  • New
  • Edit
  • Delete
  • Assign 
  • Share
